First Carbon Credits Corporation Intelligence & Support

Management Team

One of First Carbon Credits Corporation’s success drivers is its Experience and Proven Track Record. Its two founding partners are Robert Coulter and Rita Middleton.

FCCC is comprised of a highly motivated and experienced management team, with strong leadership skills, and a significant track record of success. FCCC works with the Canadian farmer / land owner to generate carbon credits through responsible land use and best farming practices.

Robert Coulter

Robert Coulter is considered a pioneer in the area of carbon credits project development, responsible for the development of a suite of GHG protocols; an accredited project design and implementation process and; working closely with the Alberta government as they were implementing regulations towards reducing GHG emissions.

Robert Coulter developed a proprietary business model used by other groups in Alberta to aggregate the first and largest quantity of Alberta compliance offsets in the new Alberta marketplace in 2007. He has brokered several large sales using this methodology to benefit the rural community of Alberta.

Through FCCC, Robert continues to capitalize on his extensive and very unique experience, knowledgebase, and strong network with industry, government, and the grass roots communities (including a dynamic relationship with Aboriginal Communities), to develop and promote new international business opportunities surrounding the science of soil sequestration and offset emissions projects in agriculture, forestry and energy efficiency.

He has presented at many Carbon Offset Conferences in New York, San Francisco, Phoenix, Arizona and Albuquerque N.M as an authority on developing sequestration offset projects as a value added revenue source for landowners by using the market to convert best environmental practices into cash.

Robert and his various business associates have combined their efforts since 1999 in pioneering and developing a commercially viable system that combines environmental science and technology into a world-class carbon trading model. The result of these efforts has produced a system that provides more efficient and better value-added incomes to the offset credit producers in agriculture, forestry and energy efficiency. He and his associates have introduced the process of viewing waste generated from one process as an energy or food source for another, providing environmentally friendly methods to the agricultural community.

Robert consulted extensively on the application of this unique business model in relation to the environmental science in various agricultural projects within Canada, and for businesses in Alberta.

Robert is an aboriginal person that uses his traditional knowledge of the land in the design and promotion of the varied opportunities surrounding the science of biological sequestration and the development of offset emissions projects.

Robert is a past Board member and is Vice President, Community Relations with Western Tidal Holdings, a project developer focused on the identification of commercially viable sites for tidal energy electricity production facilities on Canada’s west coast.

In addition to his project development expertise, Robert is qualified to assess, categorize and report on an organization’s carbon footprint as a CSA Certified Greenhouse Gas Inventory Quantifier (CSA Certification #5844B). He is currently instructing this program at the University of Toronto, School of the Environment.

He is an environmental pioneer with significant name recognition in the field of agricultural ecology. He has steadfastly evolved his unique business model for carbon credits trading over many years, beginning with his early environmental work in 1999 and gradually refining his systems and procedures to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding global industry.
